Trade Fair Cities Football Tournament: RAI Amsterdam’s strategy is as intricate as a Lionel Messi dribble

A European Football Championship in Germany could hardly get off to a better start: On June 15, the Trade Fair Cities Football Tournament will take place again. This year’s host is NürnbergMesse. Eight teams have already registered. AUMA is sponsoring the cup. We present all the teams in loose succession. Today: Remco Pot answers Sylvia Kanitz’s questions for the RAI Amsterdam team.

How many of you are there?

Remco Pot: We’re a mighty squad of 31 including supporters. Just enough to fill a small stadium, but not quite enough to cause traffic jams on the field.

How did you find each other?

Remco Pot: It’s a tale as old as time, really. We crossed paths through work, but what truly cemented our bond was our mutual love for football and, let’s be honest, the burning desire to win. It’s amazing what a shared passion can do, isn’t it?

Is this your first time at the Trade Fair Cities Football Tournament?

Remco Pot: Oh, heavens no! The RAI has been our stomping ground since the tournament’s inception. We practically have our own reserved parking spot at every participating venue by now.

Can you reveal your tactics?

Remco Pot: Our strategy is as intricate as a Lionel Messi dribble. We plan to channel the spirit of FC RAI Amsterdam, with a dash of tiki-taka magic and a sprinkle of Messi’s genius. So, expect the unexpected, and maybe a few nutmegs along the way.

How are you traveling?

Remco Pot: Ah, the age-old debate: plane versus train. In our case, flying won by a landslide. It’s quicker, cheaper, and let’s face it, a lot more glamorous. Plus, we get to avoid those dreaded train delays. Vamos!

What is your battle cry?

Remco Pot: Picture this: A thunderous roar echoing across the field, reminiscent of the haka performed by the mighty All Blacks. We may not be rugby players from New Zealand, but by golly, we’ll channel their warrior spirit and leave our opponents quaking in their boots. Let the games begin!
